Two paintings are coupled together and emerged as an experience in mixing charcoal powder with other materials such as clay for sculpture. In these two works, charcoal powder is applied to a semi-dry acrylic paint surface and allowed to fall down the canvas creating a cascading shadow. The two works were created as a part of my artists residency in Gurgaon, India in 2015 and are part of the IILM Art Collection.
