Students enrolled in the Para/Site curators program present and defend the concepts for their exhibitions-in-progress. A select team of international curators based in Asia will share their experience, critique and insight.
EXISTING CONDITIONS
Students were in the later stages of refining the conceptual framework for each of their projects to be realized in a professional exhibition in two months. Artists had been selected and logistic planning was underway. Students needed feedback on their ideas and work-in-progress as they prepared to write their curatorial statements.
FRAMEWORK
To create an environment similar to a thesis defense for graduate students. Students would have to explain their motivations and defend their choices.
TECHNOLOGY
To identify and implement an online platform that would facilitate both real-time and asynchronous interaction between curatorial students in Hong Kong and a select team of Asia-based international curators.
